Tarka (Generic name: Trandolapril and Verapamil Hydrochloride Sustained Release Tablets) is an anti hypertensive prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevents stroke, heart attacks and kidney problems. Tarka is a combination of two medications. Trandolapril belongs to the class of drugs called ACE inhibitors. Verapamil Hydrochloride belongs to the class of drugs called Calcium Channel Blockers. Trandolapril and Verapamil are used together to relax blood vessels so that the blood can flow more smoothly. Take Tarka exactly as it prescribed for you.
The most common Tarka side effects are constipation, cough, diarrhea, dry mouth, headache, insomnia, nausea, sore throat, tiredness, upset stomach, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as anxiety, easy bruising, fainting, fever, jaundice, join pain, muscle pain, urination problems, vision changes, or signs of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
