ArmonAir Digihaler Information
ArmonAir Digihaler (Fluticasone Propionate) is used to control and prevent asthma symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath. Controlling asthma symptoms can help you maintain your normal activities and reduce downtime. This drug is only used to prevent asthma attacks. It will not work for sudden asthma attacks. Corticosteroids like Flucatisone Propionate work by reducing swelling of the airways in the lungs to make breathing easier.
ArmonAir Digihaler Side Effects
The most common side effects of ArmonAir Digihaler may include coughing, dry throat, headache, and hoarseness. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, such as:
• Mental or mood changes;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, breathing difficulties, itching or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat;
• Signs of an infection, such as persistent sore throat, fever, chills;
• Vision problems
ArmonAir Digihaler Precautions
Do not use ArmonAir Digihaler if you are allergic to Fluticasone Propionate or other ingredients in this medication. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, including if you have glaucoma, infections such as tuberculosis or herpes, liver disease, osteoporosis, think you may be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are planning to breastfeed. Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between ArmonAir Digihaler and other medications, such as ritonavir, ketoconazole, nefazodone, telithromycin, etc. Do not use ArmonAir Digihaler if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. It is unknown if ArmonAir Digihaler may harm a fetus. Do not use ArmonAir Digihaler while breastfeeding without talking to your doctor. It is unknown if Fluticasone Propionate passes into breast milk. Do not give this drug to children below 18 years without talking to your doctor.
Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is only for inhalation. Avoid contact with your eyes. Make sure the cap is closed before you start using your inhaler. Hold the inhaler upright and open the cap until it "clicks." Inhale this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily (in the morning and evening, 12 hours apart). Use it at the same each day to help you remember. It may take up to 2 weeks to get the full benefit of the drug. Inhale each dose deeply to get the drug into your lungs. You may or may not taste or feel the drug when you inhale. Either is normal. Do not breathe out into the device. Close the cap firmly after each use. Do not open the cap unless you are ready for your next dose. Gargle and rinse your mouth and spit out after each use to reduce your risk of oral yeast infections. Do not swallow the rinse water. Armonair Digihaler may make you more likely to get infections. Stay away from anyone with a contagious infection like COVID-19, chickenpox, or measles. Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and sunlight. Do not open the original foil package until you are ready to use the medication. Once the foil package is opened, use this medication within 30 days. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.
