Generic Equivalent of Bevespi
Bevespi Information
Bevespi (Glycopyrrolate/Formoterol Fumarate) prevents airflow obstruction and reduces bronchospasm flare-ups in adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD is a common lung disease that makes it difficult to breathe. It includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both. Bevespi is a combination medicine – Glycopyrrolate and Formoterol Fumarate. Anticholinergics like Glycopyrrolate and long-acting beta-agonists (LABAs) like Formoterol Fumarate work by relaxing the muscles around your airways to open up and let you breathe easily.

Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Bevespi and other medications, such as salmeterol, azithromycin, furosemide, metformin, prednisone, tramadol, etc. Do not use Bevespi if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. It is not known if Bevespi will harm an unborn baby. Do not use Bevespi while breastfeeding without talking to your doctor. Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is for inhalation. Avoid contact with your eyes. If this happens, rinse your eyes with water and contact your doctor if you have ongoing eye irritation after rinsing. Shake the canister well before using it. When priming the inhaler, spray away from your face so that you do not get the medication into your eyes. A fine mist shows that the inhaler is working properly. Inhale this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily (in the morning and the evening). Wait at least 1 minute between inhalations. Bevespi is not a rescue medicine. It will not work fast enough to treat a bronchospasm attack. Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day. Do not stop using Bevespi suddenly. Stopping suddenly may make your condition worse. Bevespi is not for treating asthma. Throw the inhaler device away three months after taking it out of its pouch, or if the dose indicator shows a zero, whichever comes first. Keep Bevespi away from an open flame or high heat. The canister may explode if it gets too hot. Store this medication at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep the inhaler device in the sealed foil tray until you can use it.
