Caduet and Equivalent
Caduet (Amlodipine/Atorvastatin)
Generic Equivalent of Caduet
Caduet Information
Caduet (Amlodipine/Atorvastatin) is used to treat high blood pressure or chest pain (angina). Treating high blood pressure can help lower the risk of stroke and heart attack. Preventing chest pain helps improve your ability to exercise. Caduet is a combination medicine containing Amlodipine and Atorvastatin. Calcium channel blockers like Amlodipine work by relaxing the blood vessels so blood can flow more easily, lowering blood pressure. Statins like Atorvastatin work by reducing the amount of cholesterol the liver makes. Lowering “bad” cholesterol (LDL and triglycerides) and increasing “good” cholesterol decreases the risk of heart disease and helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.
