Combivent Inhaler (Generic name: Albuterol/Ipratropium) is a combination of Albuterol and Ipratropium used to prevent wheezing, shortness of breath, and trouble breathing caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Albuterol and Ipratropium are bronchodilators that relax and open the air passages to the lungs, making it easier to breathe. Use Combivent inhalation exactly as it was prescribed for you.
The most common Combivent Inhaler side effects are coughing, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, nausea, or sinus congestion. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as chest pain, fever, increased blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, urination problems, or symptoms of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficulty breathing, hives, itching, rash, swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
Do NOT use Combivent inhalation if you are allergic to atropine, or any other allergies, or other products that contain soya lecithin. They may interact with Combivent inhalation solution, especially of: antidepressants; antihistamines; asthma drugs; beta-blockers; blood pressure or chest pain medications; diuretics; drugs for Parkinson’s; MAO inhibitors; and etc.
