Dulera Information:

Dulera (Generic name: Formoterol and Mometasone) is a NEW prescription medication used for the treatment of persistent asthma. Dulera comes in an inhalation aerosol containing a combination of Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate and Mometasone Furoate. Formoterol is a long-acting beta agonist that relaxes muscles in the airways to improve breathing. Mometasone is a steroid that works by reducing the irritation and swelling in the airway. Dulera is not a rescue medication to replace a fast-acting inhaler that used to treat an asthma attack or acute asthma. Use Dulera exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Dulera Side Effects:

The most common Dulera side effects are dizziness, dry mouth, headache, nausea, sinus, and tiredness. If you experience any severe side effects including chest pain, chills, fainting, fever, muscle pain, seizures, or symptoms of a serious allergic reactions (e.g., difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Dulera Precautions:

Do NOT use Dulera inhalation if you are allergic to Mometasone or Formoterol Fumarate any of the ingredients in Dulera medication. Before using Dulera drug, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions, especially of: diabetes, eye problems, heart problems, high blood pressure, immune system problems, infections, liver or kidney problems, osteoporosis, seizures, and thyroid disorders. Tell your doctor about all the prescriptions or over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Dulera drug, especially of: anti-HIV medications, antibiotics, and antifungals.
