Erdotin Information
Erdotin (Erdosteine) is used to treat the symptoms associated with short, severe episodes of worsening of chronic bronchitis. Erdosteine belongs to a class of medications known as mucolytic agent. Erdotin works by making mucus (phlegm) less thick and sticky, and therefore easier to cough up. Erdotin is also used as an expectorant.
Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Erdotin. Talk to your medical health professional if you have a medical history of stomach (peptic) ulcer, kidney or liver problems or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
