Foradil (Generic name: Formoterol Fumarate Inhalation Powder) is a prescription medication used for the treatment of asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Foradil is also used to prevent breathing difficulties brought on by exercise (exercise-induced bronchospasm, EIB). Foradil may be used in combination with other controller-type asthma medications. Formoterol Fumarate is a long-acting bronchodilator that works by relaxing muscle in the airways to improve breathing easier, that may reduce asthma symptoms. The most common Foradil side effects are back pain, dizziness, headache, insomnia, stuffy nose, tiredness, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as chest pain, convulsions, fainting, fast heartbeat, fever, mood changes, muscle cramps, numbness, tremors, urination problems, wheezing, or signs of a severe allergic reaction (e.g., difficulty breathing; hives; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
