Iyuzeh Information

Iyuzeh (Latanoprost) is used to lower eye pressure resulting from open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension in adults. Open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension result from an imbalance in the production and drainage of the fluid inside the eye - too much fluid may be produced, or the drainage system may be blocked. High eye pressure presents symptoms such as pain, blurry vision, headaches, nausea, and vision changes. Prostaglandin analogs like Latanoprost increase the flow of natural eye fluids out of the eye to lower eye pressure.

Iyuzeh Side Effects

Iyuzeh Precautions

Do not use Iyuzeh if you are allergic to Latanoprost or other ingredients in this medication. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, including if you have an eye infection, herpes infection of the eye, retinal detachment, eye injury or surgery affecting the eye lens, think you may be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are planning to breastfeed. Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Iyuzeh and other medications, such as diclofenac, bimatoprost, other eye medications, etc. Do not use Iyuzeh if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. It is unknown if this medicine will harm an unborn baby. However, untreated glaucoma in pregnancy can lead to severe vision problems such as blindness. Discuss the benefits and risks of using this drug in pregnancy with your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding. It is unknown if Latanoprost passes into breast milk or if it may harm a nursing infant. Discuss the benefits and risks of using this drug when breastfeeding with your doctor. The safety and effectiveness of Iyuzeh cream in children have not been established.

Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Iyuzeh comes as eye drops. Use a drop in your affected eye every evening, according to your doctor’s instructions. Remove your contact lenses if you use them before applying your dose. Wait at least 15 minutes after using Latanoprost before replacing the contact lenses. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the dropper above the eye with the tip down. Look up and away from the dropper and squeeze out a drop. Close your eyes for 2 or 3 minutes with your head tipped down without blinking or squinting. Press your finger to the inside corner of the eye for about 1 minute to keep the liquid from draining into your tear duct. If you use other eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes after using Latanoprost before using them. Avoid touching or placing the dropper tip directly on your eye to prevent contamination. A contaminated dropper can cause eye infections and lead to serious vision problems. Write down the date of first opening the drug's foil pouch in the space provided on the pouch. Discard any unused Iyuzeh within 30 days of opening. Store Iyuzeh at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
