Maxidol Liqgel Information
Maxidol Liqgel (Naproxen Sodium) is used to treat fever and pain caused by inflammation. Arthritis, muscle aches, sprains, strains, backache, headache, migraine, minor aches, menstrual cramps, minor surgery, toothache, dental extractions, and the common cold are conditions that can cause inflammation and lead to pain. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like Naproxen Sodium work at the site of pain and stop the production of prostaglandins to reduce inflammation and pain.
Maxidol Liqgel Side Effects
The most common side effects of Maxidol Liqgel may include diarrhea, drowsiness, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, such as:
• Blurred vision;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, breathing difficulties, itching or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
Maxidol Liqgel Precautions
Do not use Maxidol Liqgel if you are allergic to Naproxen Sodium or other ingredients in this medication. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, including if you have an active ulcer, asthma, heart surgery, inflammatory bowel disease such as Chron’s disease or ulcerative colitis, itchy rash, kidney problems, liver problems, think you may be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are planning to breastfeed. Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Maxidol Liqgel and other medications, such as aliskiren, bimatoprost, cyclosporine, digoxin, dipyridamole, glucosamine, metformin, vancomycin, etc. Do not use Maxidol Liqgel if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant without informing your doctor. Naproxen Sodium may harm an unborn baby. Do not use this drug in the third trimester of pregnancy. Do not use Maxidol Liqgel in the first and second trimester of pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. This drug can reduce your ability to become pregnant. Do not take this medicine if you are trying to become pregnant. Naproxen Sodium passes into breast milk and may harm a nursing infant. Do not give this drug to children below 12 years without talking to your doctor.
Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Maxidol Liqgel comes as liquid-filled capsules. Swallow this drug with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew it. You may take Naproxen Sodium with or without food. Do not take more than two capsules within 24 hours. This drug is for short-term use only. If your symptoms persist after five days, inform your doctor. Naproxen Sodium can make you drowsy and dizzy. Avoid driving or activities that require alertness until you know how the medicine affects you. Do not drink alcohol. Alcohol can increase the side effects of the drug. Store Maxidol Liqgel at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
