Pancreatic enzymes like lipase, protease, and amylase help to break down and digest fats, starch, and proteins in food.

Pancrease MT Side Effects

The most common side effects of Pancrease MT may include diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, gas, and nausea. Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects, such as:

• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as abdominal cramps, breathing difficulties, swelling of the face, tongue, or throat

The drug should only be used in pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. Do not use Pancrease MT while breastfeeding without talking to your doctor. It is unknown if pancreatic enzymes (lipase, protease, and amylase) pass into your breast milk or if they may harm nursing infants. It is unknown if this drug is safe for use in children. Use your medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Take this drug by mouth with meals or snacks, as directed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule whole. Do not crush, break, or chew the capsules. If swallowing is difficult, you can open the contents and mix in a small amount of liquid. Do not mix the capsule's contents with alkaline food or liquid like milk, tea, or ice cream. Drink a glass of juice or water after swallowing the medication. Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. Store this medication at room temperature and keep it out of the reach of children.
