Procoralan Information:

Procoralan (Generic name: Ivabradine) is an EMEA approved prescription medication used for the treatment of symptoms of long-term stable angina (chest pain) in patients aged 18 years or over. Procoralan contains an active ingredient Ivabradine, which is a type of medicine called selective and specific inhibitor to slow the heart rate. Procoralan provides an alternative treatment for patients who cannot take or tolerate beta-blockers (a type of angina drug), and patients whose heart rate is above 60 beats per minute. Study shows that Procoralan reduced the number of hospital stays and deaths from heart failure or cardiovascular disease. Procoralan can be used in combination with beta-blocker medications. Procoralan Side Effects:

The most common Procoralan side effects are blurred vision, constipation, dizziness, headache, nausea, and slowed heartbeat. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as irregular heartbeat, high levels of white blood cells, muscle cramps, sensation of spinning (vertigo), and serious allergic reaction (difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Procoralan Precautions:

Before taking Procoralan oral, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as eye disease (called retinitis pigmentosa), heart disease, low blood pressure (hypotension), and liver or kidney disease. They may interact with Procoralan drug, especially of: azole antifungals, barbiturates, certain antimalarials, antipsychotics, HIV medications, macrolide antibiotics, St.John’s wort, and other medicines for abnormal heartbeats.
