Prometrium Information

Prometrium (Progesterone) is used to treat menstrual abnormalities in women who have not yet reached menopause but are not having periods due to a lack of progesterone in the body. The medicine is also used to reduce the risk of cancer of the uterus in postmenopausal women who are receiving estrogen hormone replacement therapy. The active ingredient in Prometrium is Progesterone. Progestins like Progesterone work by replacing the hormone when your body is not making enough of it.
