Qtern Information

Qtern (Dapagliflozin/Saxagliptin Hydrochloride) is used to control high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) in people with type 2 diabetes. The drug is used with a proper diet and exercise program to control the condition. Controlling high blood sugar helps to prevent complications like nerve problems, kidney damage, blindness, or sexual function problems. Sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors like Dapagliflozin remove sugar from your kidneys. Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors like Saxagliptin regulate the levels of insulin your body produces after eating. This drug is for adults with type 2 diabetes. It is not for type 1 diabetes.
