Qternmet XR
Qternmet XR (Dapagliflozin/Saxagliptin/Metformin Hydrochloride) is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Qternmet XR belongs to the class of medications known as sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor(SGLT2), dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor (DPP-4) and a combination product of biguanide. Qternmet XR should not be used for treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis or intended for patients who are currently taking metformin. This medication works in combination with a proper diet to maintain glycemic levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Do not take this medication if you are allergic. Talk to your doctor if you have a medical history of hypertension, Ketoacidosis, acute kidney injury and impairment in renal function, Urosepsis and pyelonephritis, Hypoglycemia, Necrotizing fasciitis of perineum (Fournier’s Gangrene), Hypersensitivity reactions (urticaria, facial edema), Vitamin B deficiency, Genital mycotic infections, increased LDL-C, bladder cancer, Arthralgia, Bullous pemphigoid and macrovascular outcomes. Take this medication as directed by your doctor. Consult your doctor for any possible side effects and precautions. If you experience any serious side effects, contact your doctor immediately.
