Strattera (Generic name: Atomoxetine Hydrochloride) is a prescription medication used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children aged 6 or older, teens, and adults. Atomoxetine HCI belongs to a class of drugs known selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. It helps to increase attention and decrease restlessness and impulsiveness in children and adults. Strattera Side Effects
The most common Strattera side effects include anxiety, constipation, decreased appetite, dizziness, insomnia, nausea, tiredness, upset stomach, vomiting, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as behaviour and emotional changes, fainting, hallucinations, increased blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, urination problems, and symptoms of an allergic reaction (difficult breathing; hives; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
Strattera Precautions
Do NOT take Strattera if you are allergic to Atomoxetine HCI or to any of the ingredients in Strattera medication. Before taking Strattera oral, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as bipolar disorder, glaucoma, heart problems, high blood pressure, mental problems, overactive thyroid gland, suicidal thoughts or actions. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Strattera drug, especially of: blood pressure medicines, MAOIs drugs, and other drugs for ADHD.
