Ubrelvy Information
Ubrelvy (Ubrogepant) is used to treat acute migraine with or without aura in adults. Migraine is a condition that can cause severe headaches along with other symptoms, including nausea, pain, vomiting, and sensitivity to light or sound. This medication is not used to prevent migraine. Ubrelvy may be used alone or with other medicines. Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonists like Ubrelvy works by blocking the action of the natural substance (a protein known as Calcitonin gene-related peptide) that causes migraine headaches in the body. It would be best to know that Ubrogepant does not prevent migraine attacks or reduce the number of headaches you have. This medication may be prescribed for other conditions not mentioned in this guide. Discuss with your doctor before using it for any type of headache.

Ubrelvy Precautions
Before taking the Ubrelvy tablet, inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Ubrogepant or any other medications or have taken certain medicines called strong CYP3A inducers. Before you start taking this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, including if you have kidney disease; liver disease; think you may be pregnant or plan to become pregnant; breastfeeding, or are planning to breastfeed. Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Ubrelvy and other medications such as lopinavir; atazanavir; idelalisib; cobicistat; chloramphenicol; itraconazole; and conivaptan. Ubrelvy is a tablet and should be taken with a cup of water whenever you have a migraine. The recommended dose of Ubrelvy is 50 mg or 100 mg, taken orally with or without food. Your dose depends on the severity of your condition and your response to treatment. You should follow your doctor's prescription carefully. It would be best to know that Ubrelvy does not prevent migraine attacks or reduce the number of episodes of migraine you may have in a day. Your doctor might ask you to take a tablet per each migraine episode; however, you should not use more than the maximum dose of Ubrelvy daily. Ask your doctor if there is anything you do not understand about your medication. Consult your doctor if there is no improvement in your condition or your migraine worsens.
