Veozah Information
Veozah (Fezolinetant) is used to reduce moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes and night sweats) due to menopause. During menopause, estrogen levels decline, leading to an imbalance between the estrogen hormones and a brain chemical called neurokinin B (NKB) that works to regulate the body's temperature. When this balance is disrupted, it causes vasomotor symptoms. Neurokinin 3 (NK3) receptor antagonists like Fezolinetant work by restoring the balance between estrogen and NKB by blocking NKB in the brain's temperature control center to reduce the frequency and intensity of hot flashes.
