Vimovo Information
Vimovo (Generic name: Naproxen/Esomeprazole) is an approved medication used to treat symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Vimovo is the first mixed–dose combination of enteric-coated naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and immediate-release esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Naproxen is a NSAID that reduces the pain, joint stiffness, and swelling. Esomeprazole is a PPI that blocks acid production in the stomach. Vimovo should NOT be used to relieve the acute pan. Take Vimovo exactly as prescribed.
Vimovo Side Effects
The most common Vimovo eye drops side effects include abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, indigestion, nausea, stomach ulcer, and vomiting. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as chest pain, heart attack or stroke, high blood pressure, jaundice, or serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing; itching; rash; swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.
Vimovo Precautions
Before taking Vimovo, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions, such as asthma, bone fracture, Crohn’s disease, heart disease, kidney or liver disease, stomach or intestinal problems, and ulcerative colitis.
