Xatral Information
Xatral (Alfuzosin) is used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. This condition occurs when the prostate gland enlarges, but the growth is not cancerous. Benign prostatic hyperplasia is common in older men and can cause problems in passing urine. Alpha-blockers like Alfuzosin relax the prostate gland muscle to allow the urethra to become bigger and make it easier to pass water. Alfuzosin can also be used when a catheter is required for urinary retention and to help with urination after the catheter is removed.

You may feel dizzy after using Xatral. Do not drive or operate machinery if this happens to you. Keep taking your medicine even if your symptoms improve. Do not stop taking the drug without talking to your doctor. Store this medication in its original container at room temperature and keep it out of the reach of children.
