DDAVP (Generic name: Desmopressin Acetate) is a prescription medication used to control central diabetes insipidus, a condition that the kidneys are unable to conserve water due to a lack of antidiuretc hormone (ADH). This condition causes frequent urination and thirst. DDAVP is also used for the management of bed wetting.
