Seroquel (Generic name: Quetiapine Fumarate) is an antipsychotic medication for the treatment of depressive episodes and acute manic episodes associated bipolar disorder. Seroquel Side Effects
The most common Seroquel side effects are abnormal pain, constipation, dizziness, dry mouth, dyspepsia, headache, nasal congestion, somnolence, and weight gain. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as confusion, excessive sweating, fever, irregular heartbeat, more depressed, mental/mood changes, muscle stiffness, seizures, unusual or uncontrolled movements, vision changes, and serious allergic reaction (e.g., itching, rash, swelling, trouble breathing), please inform your doctor immediately.
Seroquel Precautions
Do NOT take Seroquel if you are allergic to Quetiapine Fumarate or any of the ingredients in Seroquel medication. They may interact with Seroquel drug, especially of: anticholinergics; antidepressant; antifungal; antihistamines; anti-seizures; medicines to treat high blood pressure or a heart condition. Use Seroquel with caution especially in the elderly or children younger than 10 years old. Seroquel medicine is not for use in psychotic conditions that are related to dementia.
