Zyrtec Information:

Zyrtec (Generic name: Cetirizine Hydrochloride) is an allergy medication used for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal (SAR, referred to as “hay fever” or “outdoor allergies”) and perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR, referred to as “year round” or “indoor allergies”). Zyrtec is also used for treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU: chronic hives of unknown origin) in adults and children 2 years and older. Cetirizine Hydrochloride is a second-generation antihistamine that reduces the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Cetirizin HCl is used to treat cold or allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, or runny nose. Cetirizine is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives). Take Zyrtec exactly as it was prescribed for you.

Zyrtec Side Effects:

The most common Zyrtec side effects are abdominal pain, constipation, cough, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, fatigue, nausea, tiredness, vomiting and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as confusion, fever, hallucinations, irregular heartbeat, nosebleed, sleep problem (insomnia), tremors, urination problem, vision changes, or signs of a serious allergic reaction (e.g., difficult breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, eyes), please inform your doctor immediately.
